N. A. Villarosa Design and Construction (NAVD+C) is a Sole Proprietorship started to organize in Year 2014 and finally in full operation second quarter of 2016, owned and operated by Ar. Nonito A. Villarosa, a Bachelor of Science in Architecture graduate with over 19 years of combined professional experience both locally and internationally, is a newly established architectural design and construction firm of general building of any kind as well as general engineering of any types.

In a competitive and challenging open field of design and construction, NAVD+C through its capability, enthusiastic and energetic members of the office manages and undertakes all general building/engineering design and construction types and complexity. Our office is led and run by well-experienced professionals consisting of architects, engineers, graduate technical staff, and a group of sub-contractors and construction workers. NAVD+C offers design and construction professional services such as Full Architectural and Engineering Services; Strategic Master Planning; Feasibility Studies; Project Positioning, Programming and Condition Assessment; Interior Design Services; Land Surveying; Renovation; Construction and Supervision; Property Development ;Landscape Design &/or Construction and Drawing & Document Printing.

    In DESIGN

    Good design is a homologous process of NAVigating through a maze of environmental needs and principles.

    NAVD+C believes that every design and project shall pass through a progress of something in a logical sequence and considering every aspect of it. Visioning each design or project regardless of its size and type should respond, add quality, and consider the root to the desired environment so that it contributes positively partly if not wholly to the constructible environment.

    NAVD+C’s New Architecture Vision design philosophy is a synthesis of a range of design ingredients:

    • C: Color = Light to Dark
    • A: Articulation = Simple to Complex
    • S: Scale = Small to Big
    • T: Texture = Smooth to Rough
    • S: Sound/Appearance = Soft to Loud

    NAVD+C believes that there’s no good design if everything is all traditional, light, simple, small, smooth, soft, etc. Thus, by infusing NAVD+C’s “iCASTS” theorem with its design factors and the drive to exert passion, the firm will conceive a timeless, innovative, and distinguishing design approach that will be surely admired.

    In CONSTRUCTION

    The philosophical concepts behind this involve expertise-in-context—which is everyday expertise understood broadly as covering various kinds of practical knowledge, attention-based knowledge, skills, decision-making, and action planning.

    Thus, NAVD+C philosophically aims to:

    • Determine the therapeutic and diagnostic role of expertise-in-context ideas in improving construction practice.
    • Facilitate the development of better models of practice by thinking differently about knowledge and skills. This will allow more flexible decision-making that reflects individual expertise.
    • Disseminate the economic, social, and cultural benefits of the use of philosophy to a non-academic audience.
    • Analyse the relationship between theory and practice within practice and philosophy.
    • Explore how ideas get embedded in company structures and processes.

    NONITO A. VILLAROSA is a registered architect with Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) No.12999 and an active member of United Architects of the Philippines (UAP). He is a co-founder and Vice President (FY 2009-2012) of UAP-Singapore Chapter when it was formed and chartered in 2009.

    Nonito’s diversified experience of more than 20 years apportioned into few distinguished and prestigious firms locally and internationally focused in both design and construction field. He travelled and gathered experiences from countries like Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar and few cities in China.

    2 YEARS as an architect in established design and construction companies in Philippines doing primarily of mass housing projects, mid-rise residential building, data centers and factories. 4 YEARS in Housing Development Board as Architectural Designer, a Singapore government body that provides world-class public housing model with superior quality and affordable living-housing spaces for over 80% of Singapore population. 3 YEARS in SEP Partnership as an Architect, a reputable architectural firm based in Singapore specializes in urban and master planning, resorts, condominiums, high-end residential houses, religious and institution buildings. Nonito’s design and project-scope covers different project types and scale in Singapore, primarily projects located in countries like Malaysia, India and few cities in China. 9 YEARS in Surbana International Consultants as Senior Architectural Associate. An award-winning international urbanization consultant, a multi-disciplinary and one of the leading consultancy firms in Singapore that can offer full-service building consultancy solutions, including integrated sustainable design solutions in architecture, engineering, quantity surveying, project and construction management, coastal engineering, infrastructure and land survey, urban planning, building technology and city management. Nonito’s design and project-scope covers medium to large/mega and complex projects of master planning, commercial and mixed use, mid and high rise residential, leisure and institutional projects located in Singapore and other countries like Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Algeria and Kazakhstan. 2 YEARS in PM Group (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. as a Senior Architect. An Irish-owned full service architectural, engineering and project management firm that provides professional services in project and construction management, architectural and engineering design and technical consultancy. PM Group-Singapore project crosses a range of sectors particularly in Biopharma, Advance Manufacturing, Food, Healthcare, Medical Technology and Energy. Nonito’s design and project-scope covers small to large industrial projects particularly advance manufacturing, food and pharmaceuticals located in Singapore and other countries like Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and China. Nonito handled projects and has been involved and contributed in a few in putting design ideas that leads into project execution whether for future development or ready to build projects. Nonito’s expertise and work background proved and covered almost all architecture project types from design inception to project completion. Along the way over the period of 20 years, Nonito has been offered to do a design job from his own time by some notable people and personalities. Project or design like the Airport Control Tower, Office Building and Condominium Projects in India, Master planning in Vietnam, Shopping Centers in China, Residential and Industrial Building in Singapore, Mid-rise Commercial Building and some high and mid-end Residential Houses in the Philippines.
    Nonito’s aftermost position in his career as Senior Architect along with substantial experiences in different cultures, project context and scale is a great endeavor in achieving his personal and professional acquisition as an Architect.
